Coldplay wollen ab dem 15.Mai auf den letzten Konzerten ihrer Tour kostenlos das Live Album „LeftRightLeftRightLeft“ an die Fans rausgeben, zudem wird die Platte am gleichen Tag auch als Online Download auf der Homepage zur Verfügung gestellt. Begründung lautet wie folgt:
„Playing live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans – the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen.“
Sehr coole Aktion, ganz anders als Fusiongitarren-Streberdepp Joe Satriani, der meint irgendwas aus dem Coldplay Hit „Viva La Vida“ wäre seinen eingeölten Hoden entflossen und deswegen jetzt mächtig Beef mit den Leuten von Coldplay hat. Will Champion, der Drummer der Band reagierte darauf jüngst wie folgt:
It’s tough when people accuse you of stealing something when you know that you didn’t. So, we accept that it’s part of the territory and know it is only for some reason, God only knows why, the successful songs that seem to be the ones that are accused of being stolen. So you go figure it out. (Laughs.)
